Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Little Anne'

This fine, delicate and dwarf selection of Hinoki cypress grows into a small conical tree with delicate small fans that are dark-green, but brightening toward the new growth on the perimeter. The growth rate is approximately 1 inch per year, so will make a 10" to 12" tall tree in 10 years.  Joe Reis of Merritt, Long Island, New York is responsible for 'Little Ann's' discovery in the early 1980s. There were several Hinoki growers on Long Island at that time, with all of them experimenting on finding new forms from plants grown from seed. Hardy to USDA zone 4.
