Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gitte'

This interesting dwarf Hinoki cypress has twisted stems bearing dense sprays of scale-like, golden-yellow to yellow-green leaves. It is mound forming growing to only 18 inches tall x 24 inches wide in 10 years time. The twisted thread-like leaves set it apart from all of the other Hinoki types. This cultivar would look great planted near big bold foliage plants like hosta. Hardy to -30 degrees F. Zone 4.
