Cedrus deodara 'White Imp'
Cedrus deodara 'White Imp'
When you see a mature specimen of this cultivar, you just have to have it. The slow growing, pyramidal form of Himalayan cedar displays bright white new growth in the spring, holding until mid-summer. Partial shade will keep this one happy with no burning of the foliage, although in locations with cooler summers can plant in full sun. Make sure your planting location drains well, and ample organic, barky compost is added to the planting hole. Cones are displayed in late summer into the fall. Hardy to zone 7.
