Cedrus deodara 'Sander's Blue'

One of the most cold hardy of all of the Deodara Cedars, has powder blue needles that emerge in the spring against older steel-blue needles the the previous year. This cultivar has an artistic and open alpine look. Often used as a solitary landscape specimen for accent with pyramidal form. 'Sander's Blue' needs lots of room to give the optimum effect. The the branch tips are weeping, giving it a graceful form. Adaptable to both dry and moist growing conditions, but needs good drainage. Hardy to zone 7.
