This cultivar is a sister seedling of the popular 'Cleopatra', and has a stunning bloom that is a sculpted form like a cameo broach. The flowers are quite large and exceptional, blooming in profusion in early spring. The stunning flowers are reddish purple on the outside and white flushed red-purple on the inside. The tree flowers throughout spring, and sometimes into summer. It is considered a small tree being compact and growing to 12 - 15 ft tall. Hardy to zone 5.
