Originating in Great Britain, and named after the nursery Maxwell & Beale, this double flowering Scottish heather is a favorite of many. The blooming period is from July to September on gray-green spiky racemes. Grows to 8 inches high and about 2 feet wide. Very showy and hardy to zone 4.
