Blauer Pfiff

One of the most blue of the fir cultivars, 'Blauer Pfiff' is German for Blue Whistle. The tree was developed by treating the seed with radioactive cobalt, which can result in unusual offspring. The tree will be pyramidal, and grow wider than tall, about 6 inches per year. Introduced by K. Wittboldf-Mueller Nursery in 1979. Will produce cones like other Abies Koreana cultivars.
