Az. 'Phoenicia'

One of the most used evergreen azaleas for screens or hedges. The plant grows quickly to 4-5 ft in height and wider in width. Plant on 3-4 ft centers for a nice hedge or screen. The foliage is dense and attractive. The pink/lavender flowers have a darker center making it more attractive. Grows nicely in a large container for a specimen on the deck. Responds well to pruning to make it more compact. This cultivar can tolerate more shade as well as warmer sunny locations. Hardy for zones 8-9.
