Picea glauca Alberta Globe

Picea glauca Alberta Globe

This miniature form of Alberta Spruce looks just like a Chocolate Kiss, except green.  The plant is a squat conical plant that grows 1/2 inch a year so you know it will be compact and tight.  Found about 1968, then introduced by Grootendorst of Holland.  Our plant shown is only 12" tall and 16" wide and it is 8 years old.  Great for the rock garden, containers or trough gardens.
