Admiration

"Wow" is what we said when we first saw Berberis t. 'Admiration'. At first glance, you see the gold edges on the leaves, but upon closer inspection you will see that the new growth is a bright red-orange with the gold edge, then begins to darken to a rich brick-red, then finally to a red-purple, which looks fantastic with its gold edge. The plant makes a neat mound that will grow slowly, getting better every year.
