Acer pseudosieboldianum ssp takesimense Ulleung-do Island Maple

Native to Ullenng-Do island between Japan and Korea, this unique maple comes out in the spring with large rounded maple leaves that are bigger than 'Autumn Moon' or the 'Full Moon' maple. Grown for its intense and fiery fall display, lasting longer than most of the palmatum varieties. Growing to 25 ft tall, but fairly narrow, this tree is considered to be a 'must have' among maple buffs. Suitable for bonsai. This is a subspecies of the Korean maple.
