Acer palmatum 'Sagara Nishiki'

Interesting gold variegation on the edges of the leaves of this Japanese maple makes it quite unique. This variegation makes each leaf stand out as it is 'outlined'. By mid summer this variegation has faded, but then the fall display starts with a blend of orange and yellow. Protection from hot afternoon sun is recommended. This tree will be 7-8 feet tall and 4-5 ft wide in 10 years. Hardy to zone 5.
