Acer palmatum 'Beni Tsukasa'
Somewhat shrubby, this highly ornamental Japanese maple has foliage colors for every season. In spring the leaves come out a peachy-yellow. By late spring the leaves have changed to pink and red with greenish undertones. Then by mid summer, the foliage is green with a bit of variegation. The fall color is brilliant red. A willoy, slow growing variety that can fit into a small garden easily. Can also be grown in a container, with soil being refreshed every 2-3 years. 'Beni Tsukasa' was given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. Grows 10-12 ft tall and wide.
