Abies nordmanniana 'Pendula'

This larger growing fir is another candidate for the famous 'Cousin-it' award. The tree grows vertical with all branches hanging strictly down. Over time it can develop into quite an unusual shape, Could be trained over an archway for a transition between garden rooms. The bright green needles are soft to the touch, becoming darker with age. This tree is hardy to -30 deg F, or zone 4, and will be 8 ft tall and 3 ft wide in 10 years if staked.
