Abies nordmaniana 'Hexenbesen Berlin'

This one is a favorite of Gunther Eshcrich of Recklinghausen, Germany, the originator of the plant, because it has never been known to produce a leader and become conical as so many Nordmann brooms are known to have done. The plant will make a dense mound with luxuriant needles 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide in 10 years. Grows 1.25 inches per year and is hardy to zone 4.
