Delosperma 'Jewel of the Desert Garnet'

This fabulous succulent (Ice Plant) is almost ever-blooming when it is happy growing in the right climate. The plant is mat forming, vigorous and evergreen with brightly colored daisy-like flowers that cover the plant from late spring to first frost. Useful as a ground over. We like the lavender and scarlet colors contrasting with the bright white eye of the flower. This plant will be only 4-6 inches tall, and will spread to a foot or more across. Deer resistant but attractive to butterflies. Easy to grow, and drought tolerant. Happiest in a sunny, dry location. Hardy to zone 5. Native to South Africa.
