Rich, blood-red flowers smother this large growing rhododendron in mid spring. The foliage is much like one of its parents, R. strigillosum, being pointed with bristly hair along the stems. Always a favorite for a large growing rhododendron with a full and bushy habit. The flowers glow like coals when back lit.
