Camellia japonica 'April Dawn'

Developed by Camellia Forest Nursery, and introduced in 1963, this camellia has 'candy striped' flower, mostly white, but with occasional banding of pink, looking like candy. The fully double flowers has a formal feel, and are produced amply in mid to late spring. A vigorous plant that will be 6 ft tall over time, and bushy as well with shiny dark-green leaves. Cold hardy to zone 6.
