Alstroemeria 'Dusty Rose'

Alstromerias are lily-like flowers from Peru, and are the longest lasting of all cut flowers. 'Dusty Rose' covers itself with these showy flowers all summer long, June to August. The plants spread over time making a fabulous display. The rose-hued flowers have yellow shading inside with striking dark wine-colored markings. Bring a boquet of these into the home and they will last over a month! Here in coastal California, Alstromerias will grow and remain green plants over the winter, but if you live in the colder regions, you may want to try planting them in containers to bring into a cool garden room for the winter. Hardy to zone 8.
