Acer palmatum 'Japanese Princess'

Found by the Buchholz Nursery in Oregon, this seedling of 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is quite unique. The new spring leaves are pink-red, shading to cream-white with a plink blush, mixed with green in summer. In the fall the foliage goes full-on orange-red. The tree grows slowly into a rounded dwarf tree 2 ft tall and 2 ft wide in 10 years. Prefers full sun to partial shade, and is hardy to zone 5.
