Split Rock

One of the larger growing Hinoki cypress, 'Split Rock' will be 6 feet tall and wide in 10 years. The characteristic C.obtusa foliage catches the light, offering a delightful contrast to other nearby plants. The plant rarely needs attention, but will need regular weekly watering until established. A dwarf conifer that doesn't seem to have any pests or diseases will make many gardener's top 10 list. Excellent as a screening plant, or background element to plant lighter foliage plants in front of. This compact pyramidal plant has both green adult foliage and blue juvenile foliage, giving the plant a wonderful, textural interest and making it the bluest selection of all the Hinoki cypress.
