R. 'Cunningham's White'

Hardy white flowering rhododendron that is very tough and adapts to a wide variety of environmental conditions. The cultivar is mostly used as understock for grafting rhododendrons in Europe. This is because of the large root system the plant makes...more roots means a stronger plant. The grafted varieties seem to have better qualities. 'Cunningham's White' is also grown for  landscaping purposes. It has excellent foliage, grows wider than tall, and is hard to kill. Many landscapers prefer it over the more colorful, yet trickier varieties. We grow it to provide a good strong white for the local landscapers.
