Flowering with rich red bell-shaped flowers from June to August, this Tibetan perennial is quite showy in the garden. It is reported that this variety will produce many stalks with multiple clusters of red pendulous bells, sometimes 50 bells per cluster. The flowers are also slightly fragrant. Bees and butterflies like this one. The species name 'florindae' is named after the first wife of the plant hunter and botanist Frank Kingdon Ward who found the plant in Tibet. Hardy to zone 3. Can grow in full sun or partial shade and will be 18"-24" tall when fully grown in summer.
