Picea omorika Pendula Bruns
Picea omorika Pendula Bruns
A large growing, upright, strict weeping selection of Serbian spruce. The foliage is lush with silvery, blue-green needles on branches that layer over each other, making a spectacular specimen over time. The plant, unless continuously staked, will twist and meander, resulting in a very unique sculptural specimen that will get comments from garden visitors. The growth rate is 12-18 inches per year, and as they say in other books this is a 'must have' conifer for a conifer collection. The cultivar was selected from a batch of seedlings at the Bruns nursery in Bad Zwischenahn, Germany in 1955.
