Lilacina

This fine lacecap hydrangea decorates itself with mauve or blue fertile buds inside, surrounded by sterile white flowers that age to blue, giving a halo effect.  Excellent addition to the woodland where it will light up a shady corner.  'Lilacina' sports light green foliage and will grow to 4-5 ft.  The flowering period is long, starting in June and lasting well into the fall.  Introduced into the trade in the early 1900's.  Choice!
