Fuchsia triphylla 'Gartenmeister Bonstedt'
Introduced in 1905 from the tropics, and known as 'Lady's Eardrops' in the late Victorian era, this exotic fuchsia has dangling coral-red flowers on attractive bronze foliage. The shrub will be 2-3 ft tall and about the same wide in 10 years. Flowering occurs all summer and fall when given regular watering and fertilizer. Given the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
