Everitt's Golden

Everitt's Golden

Forming an upright conical shape with ascending branches, this bright gold Canadian Hemlock is a 'beaut'! Found by Samuel Everitt in Eaton, New Hampshire in the wild about 1918, the tree will have light golden-green new growth that later turns to bright gold in summer. Growing 3"-4" per year, which puts this plant into the dwarf category, it will eventually attain a height of 10 ft and a spread of between 4 - 5 ft. Never needs pruning to look great. The needles are evergreen, lasting over a period of 3 to 5 years. Grows well in moist, well-drained acidic soils. Doesn't like dry, windy sites. For best color, give full sun.
