A Japanese deciduous shrub that has interesting pendulous white flowers in late spring. Resembling Pieris, which it is related to, and with similar shaped flowers, this plant is an excellent companion plant to rhododendrons and azaleas, liking the same conditions The shrub will be 6-8 ft tall in 10 years, and can grow in a shady location or in full light. The fall color is very showy with red leaves combined with yellow, orange and purple.
