English Roseum
English Roseum
The Classic Rhododendron. Developed by the Waterer Nursery in England in the 1950's, this hardy hybrid is still popular today due to its ease of growing, and reliable blooming. The plant will be 6 ft tall and 8 ft wide in 10 years, and will also be full and lush. Prized for its tolerance to sun, cold and humidity, this cultivar makes a dense and showy shrub. The lilac-rose flowers cover the shrub in late spring or early summer, making a grand display. Hardy to -25 degrees F, 'English Roseum' can be grown where many other rhododendrons cannot. A great choice for a large, background plant under deciduous trees, or as a screening plant. Easy to grow and will make a big plant faster than most.
