Elsa Crisp
Elsa Crisp
Originating from the Waterer Nursery in England around 1860, and rare in the trade, there is little information about this cultivar. I am not sure where we acquired it, perhaps from New Zealand, as some old varieties made their way down under in the early 20th century. The flowers are quite nice, stacking up into a tight and tall truss of white and pink. The plant grows to be 5-6 ft tall in 10 years, and the leaves are narrow and dark-green. We quite like Elsa Crisp, and will continue to propagate and grow it for your enjoyment. We have put R. 'Elsa Crisp' into the Premium category as it is difficult to find and purchase.
