Electra
Electra
Rich blue flowers cover this famous Rothchild cross of two forms of the species R. augustinii. Winning an Award of Merit in 1940, the shrub has leaves that are narrow and only about 2.5" long which when new have a bronze cast. Because the foliage is so different from what most people think of in rhododendron leaves, it is often not thought to be a rhododendron. Also, the foliage texture offers a nice contrast to the wider leaves of other varieties. When 'Electra' blooms, the crouds cheer!
Premium Variety – This variety has proven itself over time to be a higher-grade plant with better performance, a higher degree of attractiveness, and is hard to find and purchase.
