Early Bird Radiance

The genus Dianthus is full of very useful plants for adding color to any garden. This new cultivar is especially great for edging plants or in the rock garden. The new Early Bird series are exceptionally early, long-flowering, and fragrant. The rich crimson-red double flowers appear on an attractive blue-green cushion of foliage. The flowers last from early spring to late summer, making it one of the longest for bright and colorful flowers. This cultivar will be drought tolerant once established. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. This evergreen plant is an excellent choice for window boxes and containers. Hardy to Zone 3, but excellent drainage is essential. A real winner!
