Dawyck Purple Beech

A rich dark-burgundy accent tree...almost black. The tree grows slender, having a smaller footprint than most of the other cultivars of Beech. A wonderful background tree to contrast lighter colors against. Plant several for a black windbreak or screen! Fairly fast growing too! In 10  years you can expect the tree to be 25-30 ft tall but only 8-10 ft wide. We love to plant bright yellow or white colors against this tree for the most contrast and visual appeal. Spectacular!
