This sturdy, yet small daphne is very easy to grow and is super fragrant, and is recommended for those gardeners who have not had much experience with daphne. 'Wilhelm Schacht' daphne is a hybrid of [D. collina x D. petraea] , that makes a perfect small mounded plant 12" - 18" tall and 20" wide in 15 years, and produces abundant rounded bouquets of highly fragrant bright pink-purple flowers in spring repeating throughout the season when happy where growing. Dark-green small leaves grow dense and attractive. Hardy to zone 6. This cultivar is very slow growing, and so our 1 gal size is small (3 inches tall).
