Crimson Pygmy

'Crimson Pygmy' is a valuable addition to the Japanese Barberry collection. This deciduous shrub with thorns will grow in sun or shade, but has its best color in full sun. The new growth is bright red, changing to a rich dark purple-red and staying that way all summer and into the fall. Red berries decorate the branches in winter. 'Crimson Pygmy' is a plant that offers great contrast to all the other foliage colors in the garden.
