This newly registered hybrid of R. Fragrantissum is one of the most loved fragrant rhododendrons in all of our gardens! Developed by Jim Gerdeman of Yachats, Oregon, the fuzzy dark green foliage is very unusual and attractive. Blooming for a long period of time, this eye catching plant will fill your garden with true beauty, as the spicy fragrance fills your senses. This plant has become rare, along with most of the tender, fragrant rhododendrons, as they are only suitable for zones 9 and 10. Many nurseries don't want to bother over a plant that can only be marketed to such a select group of gardeners. For this exact reason, Singing Tree Gardens feels passionately about preserving and passing them along. What a beautiful little piece of botanical history this gem is.
