Ceanothus impressus 'Vandenburg'

Ceanothus impressus 'Vandenburg'

One of the most attractive of the California Lilac, Ceanothus impressus 'Vandenburg' looks like the cultivar 'Dark Star' with the tiny, crinkled leaves, but will be more compact and less twiggy. In late spring this handsome shrub will cover itself with fragrant blue flowers, attracting the bees. Drought tolerant once established, and grow well in poor soil if good drainage is provided. In 10 years, one can expect this plant to be 3-4 ft tall and 4-6 ft wide. Hardy for zone 8-9.
