Camellia japonica 'April Remembered'

 This Japanese Camellia was developed for cold winter hardiness, and is rated for USDA zone 6. The large, almost 5 inch, double flowers are vibrant pink with lighter centers and golden-yellow stamens, adding a glow to each bloom. The bloom sometimes will last from November all the way until May in some locations. This medium sized shrub will be lower and wider than most other japonicas, and has dark-green shiny leaves that always look handsome. The branch tips are slightly weeping, giving a unique look.
