Spring Cream Scottish Heather
Spring Cream Scottish Heather
Attractive creamy tips adorn this Scottish heather in springtime and is its first 'show' in the garden. Then, in mid summer to mid fall, white flowers cover the plant...its second 'show'. One can expect this plant to be about 1 ft tall and 2 feet wide in 10 years of time. Yearly pruning, about 3-4 inches, will keep the plant looking spiffy and is recommended. Can be grown as a groundcover that will choke out weeds. Needs sharp drainage to thrive, so use a mixture of sand and plenty of organic matter when planting. Light amounts of fertilizer can be applied in early spring to keep this plant happy.
