Buxus microphylla 'Kingsville Dwarf'
Buxus microphylla 'Kingsville Dwarf'
Kingsville Dwarf Boxwood is considered the dwarfest of the boxwoods, which means it is the slowest growing as well. It is used in bonsai often because the leaves are so tiny, it will be the right scale for a miniature tree. It is considered to be one of the most ideal plants for bonsai as it can have the appearance of a very old tree i just a few years. This cultivar can throw wild shoots that need to be pruned off. Kingsville Dwarf Boxwood can also be grown outside as a small hedge. Hardy to zone 6. Photo courtesy of Living Art Bonsai Society. This plant is more than 24 years old when the photo was taken. WE ARE NOT SELLING THIS EXACT PLANT, IT IS JUST AN IDEA THAT YOU CAN TRY.
