Blue Shag

This short, fat form of the Eastern White pine is a winner. The soft to the touch blue green needles create a "shaggy" appearance in the garden. The foliage is dense, never looking leggy. The plant can be pruned for keeping to a certain size. Adaptable to a wide range of soil types makes this plant easy to keep happy. Very hardy, from USDA zones 3-8. You can expect this pine to be 2-3 feet high and 3-4 feet wide in 10 years.
