Butterfly

Our Acer palmatum 'Butterfly' in the garden is always so full and bright due to the variegation. The green, white and pink variegation is brightest in the spring when it emerges, but still remains colorful throughout summer. In autumn it will have more red tints, but is still variegated. In late summer the seed pods are red, adding more to the colorful display. Our tree is 20 years old and is 20 ft tall but only 12 ft wide. Hardy to zone 5.
