Abies pinsapo 'Fastigiata'

Everyone loves the foliage of the Spanish Fir, but some cultivars get to big and take up too large of a footprint. That is why we like this slender, fastigiate form  that can fit into a smaller garden. The needles are flat and blund, and an attractive blue-green color. The branches grow upward at a steep angle, close to the trunk causing the tree to have a columnar shape. Prefers partial shade. In spring the new raspberry colored buds add interest and are easily noticed by any dwarf conifer lover.
