Abies koreana Cis

A desirable, award winning dwarf Korean fir that adds sparkle to the garden. Abies koreana 'Cis' grows very slowly, making a tight globose selection with dark-green needles with silvery undersides. After 10 years of growth the plant will measure about 16 inches tall and the same wide. When the new growth comes out in the spring, it is very sparkly, causing the plant to be very noticeable.  Discovered as a seedling by Roelvink Nursery in the Netherlands in the 1970's. This unique cultivar was awarded the silver medal at the Plantarium Plant Exposition in Boskoop, the Netherlands.Hardy to zone 6.
