Daphne x 'Perfume Princess'
Daphne x 'Perfume Princess'
Created by the master hybridizer of New Zealand, Mark Jury, who also has hybridized Magnolias and Rhododendrons, and now has gotten involved with the Daphnes. By crossing two winter flowering Daphne odora x Daphne bholua, the result is a very long blooming and robust growing cultivar that was even voted to be 'Plant of the Year' in Australia in 2016. Not only are the flowers larger, they are in clusters along the stems, resulting in more FRAGRANT flowers that the species. On top of that, the flowers change from pink to white during the flowering season. Perfume your yard or garden from February to April with this valuable plant. Hardy in zones 7-9.
