'Nuccio's Pearl' Camellia

'Nuccio's Pearl' Camellia

Originating as a chance seedling at the famous 'Nuccio's Nurseries' in Altadena, California in 1973, this is one of the most desirable of all camellias. It is said that red camellias are a symbol of wealth and white Camellias signify loveliness, and this one has a bit of both. The medium semi-double to formal double bloom's pointed petals are blush with a white center, and outside petals toned a deeper pink, with pointed petals. The plant can grow to 6-8 ft tall in 10 years, and likes either full sun to partial shade. Blooming from late winter into early spring. Hardy to zone 7.
