Yaku Sunrise x Crimson Pippin

This new rhododendron is not registered, but if it was, it should be called "Flower Power"!  Every terminal sets flower buds in late summer and waits until late May to open.  The buds open a rich pink, then when fully open, have lighter centers for a picotee effect.  Dazzling!
