Red Walloper

Another one of the fabulous Walloper series from the late Halfdan Lem. This tetraploid rhododendron has more chromosomes, resulting in thicker leaves and stems, and larger flowers. The plant is a large grower, putting on 12 inches of growth per year and attaining a height 10 ft in 10 years. Our sturdy 3 gallon size plants are 4 years old already, and have a beautiful stature.

Premium Variety – This variety has proven itself over time to be a higher-grade plant with better performance, a higher degree of attractiveness, and is hard to find and purchase.
