R. 'Mrs. Tom H. Lowinski'
Striking light lavender flowers with a rich orange flare in the upper petal makes this unusual rhododendron a real show stopper! Also, very cold hardy to -15 deg F, which also makes it heat tolerant as well. Fast growing with dense and lush dark-green leaves makes this one a good candidate for screening. You can expect this plant to be 6 ft tall in 10 years. Flowers open with the light lavender color, but age to white with the orange blotch. Named and registered by the Waterer Nursery in the 1950's, Blooms in late May or early June.
