R. 'Lord Roberts'
R. 'Lord Roberts'
Here is an older hybrid that has proven itself worthy, otherwise it would not still be in the trade. Perfect trusses of dark pink to red cover this plant in May making it one of the most noticeable in the gardens. The American species R. catawbience gives the flowers its structure, and also its hardiness of -15 deg F. The glossy leaves are 'rippled' in texture and very attractive. You can rely on this variety for a spectacular bloom each and every spring.
